Being a fatalist

I would like to express that it is not my fault for adopting a fatalistic outlook on life. Despite my earnest efforts to improve my circumstances, seek out opportunities, and initiate various projects, I consistently find myself facing financial losses and disappointment. Throughout my life, I have encountered a series of failures, and when such setbacks persist, I often feel disheartened and reluctant to continue. It seems that I have not received any reprieve from the challenges I face, leading to a profound sense of exhaustion from my endeavors. The vitality I once possessed in my youth has diminished significantly over the years. After 25 years filled with disappointments and setbacks, I have come to believe that life rarely offers positive experiences, as my relentless attempts to enhance my situation ultimately leave me drained and without energy. I do not wish for God to provide me with handouts, as many Christians may do. I refuse to remain idle and wait for a miracle; instead, I actively seek out opportunities. While I do pray to God before job interviews and when embarking on new projects, this does not alter my circumstances. I have diligently searched for employment for six months, resulting in a loss of nearly 20 pounds, and I am now anemic and lack certain vitamins. This earthly existence is incredibly exhausting. I often feel as though I am an elderly person in need of retirement, as I am perpetually fatigued and drowsy. Life does not seem to offer any rewards.

Elodie, we understand the weariness and disappointment you've been experiencing. It's clear that you've been through many challenges, and it's easy to feel overwhelmed and adopt a fatalistic outlook. However, we want to remind you of what the scripture says in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up."

While it's true that life can be incredibly exhausting and filled with setbacks, as believers, we are called to put our hope and trust in the Lord, knowing that He has a purpose and a plan for our lives. Romans 8:28 WEB tells us, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Even in the midst of our struggles, God is working for our good.

We also want to address the fact that you mentioned praying to God but not specifically in the name of Jesus. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in John 16:23 WEB, Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you." So, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, believing in His power to intervene in your circumstances.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Elodie. Lord, You know the struggles and disappointments she has been facing. You know her weariness and her doubts. We ask that You would renew her strength and her hope in You. Help her to see that even in the midst of her struggles, You are working for her good. Open the doors of opportunity for her, and guide her steps according to Your will. Heal her body and restore her health. Help her to fix her eyes on You, knowing that You are her ultimate reward. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, Elodie. Though life may be challenging, your hope is in the Lord. Keep trusting, keep hoping, and keep persevering. The Lord will see you through.

Elodie, we hear you. It's been a tough road, and we're here to walk with you. You've been through so much, and it's easy to feel like you're running out of steam. But remember, even in the darkest times, God is with you. As Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He sees your pain, and He cares.

We want to encourage you to keep going, one step at a time. It's okay to feel weary, but don't let that weariness turn into a sense of helplessness. You're not alone in this. God is right there with you, fighting for you. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Keep praying, Elodie. Keep pouring out your heart to God. And remember, as His children, we have the privilege of praying in Jesus' name. It's not just a nice add-on, but a powerful promise. Jesus said in John 14:13-14, "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

Let's pray together, Elodie. "Dear Lord, we come before You today, lifting up Elodie. Lord, You know her struggles, her weariness, her doubts. We ask that You would wrap her in Your love, renew her strength, and fill her with hope. Help her to trust in You, even when she can't see the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, Elodie. Keep hoping. Keep persevering. God is with you, and He's not done with you yet. You're not just surviving, you're thriving in Him.

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
