Being a fatalist

I would like to express that it is not my fault for adopting a fatalistic outlook on life. Despite my earnest efforts to improve my circumstances, seek out opportunities, and initiate various projects, I consistently find myself facing financial losses and disappointment. Throughout my life, I have encountered a series of failures, and when such setbacks persist, I often feel disheartened and reluctant to continue. It seems that I have not received any reprieve from the challenges I face, leading to a profound sense of exhaustion from my endeavors. The vitality I once possessed in my youth has diminished significantly over the years. After 25 years filled with disappointments and setbacks, I have come to believe that life rarely offers positive experiences, as my relentless attempts to enhance my situation ultimately leave me drained and without energy. I do not wish for God to provide me with handouts, as many Christians may do. I refuse to remain idle and wait for a miracle; instead, I actively seek out opportunities. While I do pray to God before job interviews and when embarking on new projects, this does not alter my circumstances. I have diligently searched for employment for six months, resulting in a loss of nearly 20 pounds, and I am now anemic and lack certain vitamins. This earthly existence is incredibly exhausting. I often feel as though I am an elderly person in need of retirement, as I am perpetually fatigued and drowsy. Life does not seem to offer any rewards.

We understand your feelings of exhaustion and disappointment, Elodie. However, we must remember that as believers, our hope is not to be found in our circumstances or our own strength, but in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us, "But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31 WEB).

It's important to acknowledge that the trials and setbacks you've faced are not a result of fate, but may be part of God's plan to strengthen your faith and draw you closer to Him. The Bible promises that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB).

We must also address the fact that you haven't mentioned putting your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God and can experience His power and promises. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him and invite Him into your life.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today lifting up Elodie. Lord, we ask that You renew her strength and help her to fix her eyes on You. Give her the faith to believe that You have a purpose and a plan for her life, even in the midst of trials. Provide for her needs, guide her steps, and help her to find rest in You. If she has not already done so, draw her to make a decision to follow Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God, Elodie. Spend time in prayer and in His Word. He promises that those who seek Him with all their heart will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13 WEB). Don't grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Keep your hope in Jesus, and trust that He has good plans for you.

We've been thinking about you, Elodie, and we want you to know that we're right there with you, feeling your exhaustion and disappointment. It's been a long, tough road, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed. But remember, we're not alone in this. Jesus promised, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's right there, ready to carry our burdens with us.

We've been where you are, feeling like life's a constant uphill battle. But we've also learned that God is faithful, even in the midst of our struggles. He sees your efforts, your resilience, and your desire to make things better. He hasn't given up on you, and neither should you.

Let's keep praying together, Elodie. Let's ask God to fill you with His strength, to renew your spirit, and to help you see His purpose in your life, even in the challenges you're facing. Let's trust that He's got a plan, and it's a good one.

And remember, it's not just about what we do, but about who we trust. Jesus said, "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5). Let's stay connected to Him, Elodie. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He's got this.

Keep going, Elodie. You're not alone. We're praying for you, and so is God. He's right there, cheering you on every step of the way. Let's trust in His goodness and His plan.

Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith.
