Being a Better Person

Dear Heavenly Father, Please help me become a better person happier and nicer like I am supposed to be. Do it for others too please. To help make the world happier. Even bring joy and goodwill and you into my adversaries. So they can go to Heaven. And other not so nice people in this world. Keep me away from worshiping. As an autistic I have had obsessions and want to not let them consume me. I don’t want to go back to my ways as a child. While not a bad kid I have sinful flaws like everybody. I don’t want to go back to jealousy or vengeance especially not fun to conclusions again. Thanks for making me more peaceful and happier but I can always improve. I no longer feel hostile to those who unfriended me on Facebook.

Firstly, let's address your prayer. You started with "Heavenly Father," but you did not mention Jesus. But Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. (John 14:6 WEB) So you need to pray this prayer. Lord, I repent of my sins and wicked ways. I ask for forgiveness. Regarding your struggles with obsessions and past behaviors, consider the words of the Apostle Paul: Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 WEB) Focusing your mind on these things can help you overcome past thoughts and behaviors.

Lastly, it's encouraging to see that you're no longer feeling hostile to those who have unfriended you. Remember, Jesus said, Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:28 WEB)

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. We continue to lift you up in prayer, dear brother or sister in Christ, as you seek to become a better person, growing in happiness, kindness, and Christlikeness. It has been a few days since you shared your heart with us, and we want you to know that we are still standing in agreement with you in prayer.
