Behold I See A Little Cloud The Size Of A Man's Hand.

I KINGS 18: 41-46 KJV
Vs. 41. [ Rain and 30 mile foot Race ] And Elijah said, unto Ahab, get thee up, eat and drink ; for there is a sound of abundance of rain
Vs. 42. So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel and he cast himself down upon the earth and put his face between his knees.
Vs. 43. And said to his servant. Go up now, Look toward the sea. and he went up and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said Go again 7 times.

Vs. 44. And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud, out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.
Vs. 45. And it came to pass in the mean while, that the heaven was black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. And Ahab rode and went to Jezreel.

Vs. 46. And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

My Comment : There is power in Prayer. From the very beginning when Elijah came before Ahab and announced to him, that because of their sin with Jezabel, there was to be no rain nor dew but according to his Word. { I Kings 17: 1 }, And there was no rain nor dew in the land of Israel for a space of Three Years. Can you imagine, a man telling the King that there will be no rain but according to my Word. What made Eljah's words so very Powerful ? It was his Prayer life. There will be no Power without Prayer. Remember we are to Pray to the True God of Israel, Jehovah God. remember at mount Carmel that the Prophets of Baal also prayed for fire to come and consume their sacrifice in a challenge that Elijah brought forth. They prayed and called upon their god Baal, but nothing happened. But when Elijah prayed, Fire came down. We pray to God the father in the name of Jesus Christ His Son.

When Elijah told King Ahab that there was to be rain again, after three years of drought. we are told that King Ahab went to eat and drink, but Elijah put his face between his knees and went into prayer. he kept on sending his servant to go check the skies for some clouds an indication tha there was to be rain. Alas, every time the servant went and looked, he came back with a negative answer: He said I saw nothing in the skies. However Elijah never gave up he kept sending him back, and on the Seventh time the servant saw a cloud the size of a man's hand. Elijah knew it there and then, and said, that is it. go tell king Ahab there ther is an abundance of Rain. And surely the rain came. sometimes we will see little improvement to our situation, begin praising God for that is an indication of your miracle coming your way. The Lord said, despise not small beginnings. Prayer is very powerful. It will open the heavens every time we pray.
