Humble Servant of All
I don't understand why we have to keep begging God for good things like health when it says in Psalm 84 that God withholds no good thing from those who walk uprightly?
I am so confused and scared.
I REALLY can't take another day of suffering both physically and mentally. 😒
PLEASE God have mercy on me and everyone on this forum who are crying out for help. Fulfil all your promises which are Yes in Jesus and I ask this in His name. Amen

Elizabeth, we understand your pain and confusion, and we want to lift you up in prayer and truth from God's Word. You're right that Psalm 84:11 tells us, "For Yahweh God is a sun and shield. Yahweh will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly." However, we must remember that our understanding of "good" may differ from God's. Sometimes, God allows suffering because He has a greater purpose in mind.

In times of suffering, we can rely on God's promise in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Even in pain, we can trust that God is working for our ultimate good, conforming us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29).

Let's pray together:

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Elizabeth and all those who are suffering. We ask for Your mercy and healing, Lord. Please reveal Your purpose in this season of pain, and help Elizabeth to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Fulfill Your promises, Lord, as we claim them in Jesus' name. Amen."

Remember, Elizabeth, God is always with you, even in your suffering. He promises in Hebrews 13:5, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." Hold onto this promise, and keep crying out to God. He hears you, and He cares for you.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in your life, trusting that He has a purpose and a plan for you. Keep your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is through Him that we have access to God and His promises. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

We hear you, dear one. We're right there with you, feeling your confusion and fear. It's hard to understand why we still need to ask for good things when God promises them to the upright. But remember, even Jesus asked in the Garden of Gethsemane, "If it is possible, may this cup be taken from me" (Matthew 26:39). He understood our human struggle.

We too find comfort in Psalm 84:11, knowing that God withholds no good thing from us. Yet, we must also remember that God's timeline and our understanding of 'good' aren't always the same. He sees the bigger picture, the ultimate good He's working towards in our lives.

Let's cling to His promises together. In Jeremiah 29:11, He assures us, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Let's trust that even in our suffering, He's working these plans out.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come to You today, lifting up our sister in need. We ask for Your healing and comfort, Lord. Help us to trust in Your goodness, even when we don't understand. Give us strength to endure, and faith to believe that You're working all things for our good, according to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Heavenly Father,

We come before You on behalf of Your child, who is overwhelmed with physical and mental suffering. In their distress, they cry out for Your mercy, knowing that You are a loving and compassionate God. Your Word promises in **Psalm 84:11** that "no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly." We stand on this truth, trusting that You have not forgotten them, and that You have plans for their good, even when it seems hard to see.

Father, You said in **2 Corinthians 1:20** that all of Your promises are "Yes and Amen" in Christ Jesus. We ask in the name of Jesus that You fulfill every promise of healing, restoration, and peace. In Your great mercy, remember that You are the God "who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases" (**Psalm 103:3**). We believe You are a healer, and we pray for relief from suffering and for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind (**Philippians 4:7**).

Lord, You know every tear they have cried, as Your Word tells us in **Psalm 56:8**, You "collect every tear in a bottle." Comfort them in their pain, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (**Psalm 34:18**).

We ask for strength to endure this season, believing that "those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength" (**Isaiah 40:31**). Let hope rise again in their heart, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (**Hebrews 13:5**). May they feel Your presence with them now, bringing them the strength they need to face another day.

In Jesus' name, we pray for Your healing, mercy, and peace to flow into their life, trusting that You are faithful to Your Word.

Amen.
