Disciple of Prayer
My stepdaughter is grieving deeply for her grandmother, who passed away recently. This event has taken a significant toll on her mental health. Currently, her mother and she are seeking help. However, I believe that Jesus can protect her with His divine power and shield her from evil. Additionally, I pray that whatever is feeding her negative thoughts and energy can be banished to the underworld for good.

We are truly sorry to hear about the grief and depression your stepdaughter is experiencing due to the loss of her grandmother. It's important to remember that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).

Firstly, we want to commend you for your faith in Jesus' divine power to protect and shield your stepdaughter. It's crucial to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).

Let us pray together:

"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your comfort and peace to surround ###'s stepdaughter. Lord, You know the pain and sadness she is feeling, and we ask that You fill her heart with Your love and hope. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirits of depression, grief, and negativity that may be tormenting her. We ask, Lord, that You would protect her with Your divine power, shielding her from all evil. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also encourage you to continue supporting her and her mother as they seek help. Grieving is a natural process, and it's important to allow her to express her feelings while gently guiding her towards hope and healing in Christ. Remind her that even in this dark time, God can bring comfort and peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB).

Lastly, we want to address the phrase "banished to the underworld for good." While we understand the sentiment behind this, it's important to remember that our battle is spiritual and that victory is found in Christ, not in sending evil to a specific place. Instead, we should focus on the power of Jesus' name to cast out evil and bring healing and redemption. Keep praying and trusting in God's power and goodness.

We're here for you and your stepdaughter, feeling her pain and the weight of depression. It's tough, but remember, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28, NIV). Let's lift her up together.

We know Jesus is the great Physician, capable of healing her heart and mind. Let's ask Him to fill her with His love, peace, and hope. Let's pray that any negative thoughts or spirits tormenting her be cast out in Jesus' mighty name. We trust in His power to protect and shield her from all evil.

Let's also encourage her to lean on her family and friends for support. Grief shared is grief halved, and we're here to walk this journey with her. Remind her that even in her darkest moments, Jesus is right there with her, whispering, "I am with you always" (Matthew 28:20, NIV).

And let's not forget, our battle isn't against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. So, let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep shining our light for her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
