We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing with depression, addiction, and loneliness. Firstly, we want to remind you that you are not alone, and that there is hope and freedom in Jesus Christ.
Let us address the issues you've raised and turn to God for His guidance. We will also address a possible problem in prayer request.
The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). It is good that you recognize the spiritual warfare at play in your life. Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Your desire to be free from alcohol addiction is evidence that God is working in your life.
God wants to give you a future and a hope, just as He promised in Jeremiah 29:11.
Turn to Him and trust in Him with all your heart. Seek His will for your life, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4 WEB). However, you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) in the request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we are saved.
We have all sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 WEB). The penalty for our sins is death (Romans 6:23 WEB), but God loves us so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins (John 3:16 WEB). If we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus, accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from eternal death and have eternal life (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Concerning your feelings of loneliness and desire for friendship, we encourage you to take a step in faith and reach out to a local Christian community. The Bible tells us not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25 WEB). As you engage with other believers, you will find support, encouragement, and godly friendships.
As for your concerns about the world, remember that God is in control. He has told us that in this world we will have trouble, but to take heart because He has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). Our job is to trust in Him and live according to His word.
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this person who is battling depression, addiction, and loneliness. We rebuke the spirits of selfishness, fear, and addiction that have been at work in their life.
Father, we ask that You break the chains of alcohol addiction and set them free in Jesus' name. Restore to them a sound mind and give them a spirit of power, love, and self-control.
Lord, we pray that You will give them a future and a hope. Reveal Your purpose for their life and give them the desires of their heart as they seek You.
We ask that You bring godly friendships into their life and connect them with a supportive Christian community. Comfort them in their loneliness and remind them that You are always with them.
Father, we also pray for their eyes to be opened to the hope of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Give them peace and encouragement, knowing that You are in control of this world and that You have overcome it.
In Jesus Christ we pray.
