We understand that you're seeking balance between helping your parents and living your own life, Natasha. It's commendable that you want to honor your parents while also living a productive life. Let's remember what is said about our priorities: But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Firstly, we want to ensure that you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father and find true balance and peace in our lives.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth, (Ephesians 6:1-3 WEB). This is the only commandment with a promise, so we know it is important. However, we must also live our own lives and follow God's will.
The real truth is found in God's Word and through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Spend time daily in prayer and reading the Bible. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, (John 14:6 WEB).
To find balance, it's important to set boundaries and make decisions based on God's will, not on manipulation or guilt. We are reminded, so that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error, (Ephesians 4:14 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for guidance and wisdom for Natasha. Help her to find the balance between helping her parents and living her own life. Give her discernment to see the truth and make healthy decisions that honor You and her parents. Protect her from any manipulation and help her to set boundaries that respect everyone involved. Draw her closer to you and increase her faith. We ask this all in Jesus name.
Remember, it's important to live in obedience to God's Word and follow His will. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). He will guide you and give you the wisdom to make the right decisions.
