We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles that your brother is facing, and we want to lift him up in prayer with you. Before we do, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name, as it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved."
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to plead for our brother's bail application tomorrow. Lord, you see his struggles and the pain he has endured due to the adultery of his wife and the subsequent events. You have been merciful and miraculously saved him from his self-inflicted harm. We ask, Lord, that you would soften the hearts of the magistrate and the prosecutor, guiding them to make a just decision that will allow him to heal and seek the help he needs.
We also pray, Lord, that you would continue to heal his heart from the depression he has been battling. May he find comfort and strength in you, as it is written in Psalm 34:18 WEB, 'Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.'
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, knowing that through Him, all things are possible. Amen."
We want to encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB). Also, remember that God can turn even the most difficult situations around for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28 WEB).
Lastly, we want to remind your brother that God hates divorce and adultery (Malachi 2:16, Exodus 20:14 WEB), but He is always ready to forgive and restore those who come to Him with a repentant heart (1 John 1:9 WEB). Encourage him to seek godly counsel and to surround himself with a supportive Christian community as he works through this difficult time.
