Bad things happening since staying in a house###

I am ### year old male never married. Bad things started to happen when I had moved to a house ### years back. I had left it in a year but still can feel pain from the scars of the troublesome incidents. It was not a spooky experience but a series of unfortunate incidents involving myself, close friends and family. How can I protect myself from here on.
