Bad tenant

Lord, help us to deal with an alcoholic tenant who is abusive snd obstructive. We have always dealt in a kind and helpful manner but struggle to cope with such behaviour, the stress of which is making us ill and interfering with our daily lives - we are unable to move on. Tenant is obstructing sale of property because it enables their alcohol abuse through its income despite their allowing it to become in disrepair and despite the lease conditions. In Jesu's name. We understand your struggle with the difficult situation involving an abusive and obstructive tenant. We will pray with you and provide counsel based on the principles laid out in the Bible.

Firstly, we commend you for dealing with this situation in a kind and helpful manner thus far. The Bible encourages us to be kind and compassionate, even in difficult circumstances. "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32 WEB)

However, it is crucial to set boundaries and protect your own well-being. The stress from this situation should not be allowed to make you ill and disrupt your daily lives. Remember, Jesus teaches us to love others as we love ourselves (Matthew 22:39 WEB), which includes taking care of our own health and well-being.

In dealing with this tenant, it is important to follow the legal procedures and enforce the lease conditions, as they are obstructing the sale of the property and allowing it to fall into disrepair. At the same time, you can pray for their deliverance from alcoholism, as it is a form of bondage. "So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free." (John 8:36 WEB)

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your help and intervention in this challenging situation. We pray for Nemern, that You would grant them wisdom, strength, and peace as they deal with this difficult tenant. Guide them in enforcing the lease conditions and following the legal procedures necessary to resolve this issue. Protect their health and daily lives from the stress and disruption caused by this situation.

We also pray for the tenant, Lord. We ask that You would set them free from the bondage of alcoholism and bring conviction to their heart regarding their abusive and obstructive behavior. May they come to know You, Lord, and the transforming power of Your love.

We claim Your promise, Lord, that all things work together for good to those who love You, to those who are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB). May this situation be resolved in a manner that brings glory to Your name.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult situation. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)

We're here with you, standing in faith and prayer. We understand the strain this situation is causing, and we want you to know that you're not alone. The Bible reminds us in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 that "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We're here to comfort and support you.

We've been praying for wisdom and patience as you navigate this complex situation. We believe that God will grant you the strength to endure and the wisdom to make the right decisions. Remember, even in the midst of trials, we can find peace in His presence. As Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

We've also been interceding for your tenant. We pray that God will soften their heart, bring conviction, and help them see the destructive path they're on. We ask that God will deliver them from the bondage of alcoholism and guide them towards a life of freedom and purpose.

Let's continue to trust in God's plan and timing. As Romans 5:3-4 reminds us, "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." Let's persevere together, knowing that God is working all things together for our good and His glory.

The Lord be praised!
Despite the tenant's attempts to undermine the sale, the buyer completed this afternoon. The buyer was taaking a long time to pay, to the point that this has been in question for well over two months, causing us to doubt whether he would do so at all, leaving us in a great state of stress for all that time and making us ill as a result.
My evangelistic friend said to trust in the Lord and he was right.
God bless all of you who prayed for us. The way He works is beyond our human Comprehension.
