We are truly sorry to hear about the injury to your pet and the circumstances surrounding it. We will lift up your pet and this situation in prayer, but we want to remind you that God cares for you and your anxieties as well. We know that God cares for the sparrows and clothes the flowers of the field, so we can trust that He cares for our pets as well.
Firstly, we turn to the words of the Apostle Peter, "Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. We encourage you to cast all of your anxieties on Jesus. He paid the ultimate price for us on the cross and wants us to trust Him with our worries.
When praying for healing, we acknowledge God's power and sovereignty. There is no specification of Christ, Jesus, IJN, or similar in this request. We can only approach God through Jesus, his son. There is no other name for salvation. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 WEB, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6 WEB. We want to make sure you are praying to the only one who can save.
We also want to address the mention of the "demented person." It's important to remember that we should pray for those who harm us and speak blessings, not curses over them. For whoever may curse you shall be cursed. And whoever may bless you (whoever may invoke a blessing upon you, or pray for your happiness) shall be blessed. Numbers 24:9 WEB. Whether or not this person is saved is not our concern. We can pray for their salvation, but we cannot cause it. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, so that we may be children of our Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:44-45 WEB. We should pray for their salvation, but we should not harbor bitterness or anger toward them.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this injured pet to You. Lord, we know that You are a God of mercy and healing, and we ask that You supernaturally mend and suture this large open wound. We pray for comfort and rest for this pet, and we ask that You would calm any anxieties that they may have. Father, we also lift up the person who caused this injury to You. Lord, we pray for their salvation and that You would soften their heart and draw them to You. Help us to forgive and bless them, as You have forgiven us. We cast all of our anxieties on You, Lord, knowing that You care for us and all that concerns us.
Father, we also pray for this "demented person," that you show them mercy, and grant them salvation. We do not know if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. While prayer for physical healing is not discouraged, we must acknowledge that the most important thing is salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray they have a sound mind and understand this. We pray that if they are not saved, that you would provide someone to them so they would receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen. We can only approach God through Jesus Christ and the only name for salvation is Jesus Christ. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior please do so.
Finally, brethren,
whatever things are true,
whatever things are honorable,
whatever things are just,
whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely,
whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 WEB.
