Humble Servant of All
2 years ago, Pastor Samuel from the Coronation Baptist Church preached about this tithing and also I was working and gave little than the 10% as my family needs this money more than and we had expenses to pay and have to save for rainy days of unemployment. He prayed to Jesus to remove my from my job as a Business Analyst in Ministry to be removed from me and commented that I was like the rich man who walked away from Jesus because I refused to give the tithe and Jesus answered his prayer and my job was removed. Thus I changed to my church to St. Andrews Cathedral because his teaching is unbiblical and went on 6 months of job search and found my job was NUS but it was a one year contract and I successfully finished the contract but also encounter scam during last Christmas which the scammer have not been found but experience joy at the beginning but since sin seeped into the Cathedral, I become doubtful as they are spreading rumors like oh because you never give tithes that is why scammers scam you and that hurtful comments like "Nobody like you when you were young" when I requested for prayer in the cathedral for my partner ,and that the worshippers like Josephine and Brian Phe they are "disallowing people to get married although the other party is a Christian and say it was the only way to honor Jesus which is not true and also Brian Phe kept being a peats by forbidding people to eat meat to get into heaven and his combination of religions which due to his mental condition and idol worship", he refused to change his thinking despite me telling him that it was wrong, but he never listens. So I drew myself out of the Cathedral community as not to be influence by those false teaching mentioned, and felt very hurt and distant my relationship with the lord. They also commented just because I used to work at temporary contract job I cannot never start a family. Which Jesus had already shown me a vision of marriage in the St Andrew Cathedral through prayer and word. And now I am no longer with them I started doing a lady who is a Christian tomorrow, ask Jesus to bless it. Although I just to worked at temporary contract job but that does not define my future as to get a permanent job and Jesus vision will come true by faith and also pray for my job and all the above sins and hurts to be healed. Currently I am in another home church where I will not be called to tithe and they respect me although I was not working. Ask Jesus to sustain the future expenses and my house and marriage and forget about those hurts from the Church community. And also when or using Mauy Thai as a form of exercise contradict my belief towards Jesus Christ.

We understand your pain and frustration, Dexter, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical guidance. Let's address your experiences and concerns together.

Firstly, it's important to address the issue of tithing. While the tithe is an Old Testament principle, as Christians, we are called to give cheerfully and generously as the Spirit leads (2 Corinthians 9:7). It is not a mandatory 10%, but a joyful response to God's goodness. The pastor's harsh words and the subsequent events do not reflect God's heart. God loves a cheerful giver and does not force us to give beyond our means.

Regarding the hurtful comments and false teachings at St. Andrew's Cathedral, it is clear that some members were not acting according to biblical principles. The Bible warns against gossip and false testimonies (Exodus 20:16, Proverbs 16:28), and promotes love and edification within the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 13:1-3, Ephesians 4:29). It is right that you distanced yourself from these influences.

It's also crucial to address the issue of marriage. The Bible teaches that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman (Matthew 19:4-6). We pray that your courtship with this Christian lady will be God-honoring and lead to a blessed marriage, as per the vision you received.

Now, let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother Dexter. We pray for healing from the pain and hurt caused by the past experiences in the churches he attended. Lord, guide him to a church community where Your truth is preached and lived out, where he will be loved, respected, and encouraged to grow in You.

Lord Jesus, we ask for Your guidance in his relationship with this Christian lady. Let Your will be done in their lives. If it is Your plan for them to marry, we pray that You would bless their union and prepare them for a godly marriage.

Father, we also ask for Your provision in Dexter's life. You know his needs and desires. We trust that You will provide a suitable job and sustain his future expenses and home.

Lastly, Lord, help Dexter to forgive those who have hurt him, just as You forgave us. Heal his heart from all bitterness and resentment, and fill him with Your love and joy.

In Jesus' powerful name, we pray. Amen.

Dexter, continue to trust in the Lord and His plans for your life. He loves you and has good things in store for you (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep pursuing Him and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Hey Dexter,

We've been thinking about you and your journey. It's been a rollercoaster, hasn't it? We just want you to know that we're here for you, cheering you on.

First off, let's talk about tithing. We know it can be a sensitive topic, but remember, God loves a cheerful giver. It's not about the amount, but the heart behind it. The pastor's words might have been harsh, but that's not God's heart for you. He wants you to give joyfully, not out of guilt or fear.

Now, about that church community you left behind. It's okay to feel hurt, but don't let it harden your heart. Forgive them, like Jesus forgave us. And remember, not all churches are like that. There are communities out there that will love and support you. Keep looking, you'll find them.

And hey, about that job search and your future plans. We believe in you, Dexter. That vision you had about marriage? Hold onto it. God's got a plan, and it's good. Trust Him, and keep moving forward. Your future is bright, and God's got you covered.

Let's pray together, okay? "Dear Lord, we come to you today, lifting up our brother Dexter. Heal his heart, Lord. Help him to forgive, to trust, and to keep moving forward. Provide for his needs, Lord. Guide him to a church community where he can grow and thrive. And Lord, if it's your will, bless his relationship with that Christian lady. Help them to honor you in their union. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your chin up, Dexter. You're not alone. We're in this together.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
