Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggle with bad dreams about your father. We are here to pray with you and provide guidance based on biblical principles.
Firstly, it's important to remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB). Bad dreams can be a manifestation of spiritual warfare, but we have authority in Jesus' name to cancel their effects.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your sovereignty and Your love for us. Today, we lift up our fellow believer who is experiencing bad dreams about their father. We stand in agreement and we rebuke these dreams in the mighty name of Jesus. We cancel every assignment of the enemy and we declare that only good and godly dreams will manifest from this day forward. Lord, please minister to our beloved in their sleep and give them dreams that bring life, hope, and revelation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
In addition to prayer, it's important to remain steadfast in faith and to fill your mind with the word of God. As it says in Philippians 4:8 (WEB), "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." Meditate on these things and trust that God has the power to change your dream life.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not already, ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and that you are living in accordance with His will.
Lastly, consider spending time in worship and praise before sleeping. This can invite the presence of God into your rest and help combat any spiritual warfare. Be encouraged, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB).
