We are truly saddened to hear about the situation you are facing with your father. It is not God's will for us to be controlled or abused by anyone, especially a family member. The Bible tells us that "For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'" (Romans 8:15 WEB). God wants us to live in freedom and peace, not under the control of others. Even more, it is important to remember Jesus' words "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 WEB).
It is clear that your father's behavior is not aligned with biblical principles. The Bible instructs fathers, "Don't provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." (Ephesians 6:4 WEB). The fact that he is rich but withholds necessary provisions from you and your baby is contrary to the principles of generosity and love that God expects from us, especially "Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB).
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister and her baby. Lord, we ask You to intervene in their situation and soften their father's heart. Help him to see the error of his ways and to start treating them with love, kindness, and generosity. We pray that You will provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory.
We also pray for courage to confront the father with love and wisdom. We ask for wisdom to know how to act, and for God to supply and provide when the father continues to be ungodly. Lord, we ask You to bring conviction to his heart and turn his life around for Your glory, and to provide protection and peace over this situation.
Lord, we ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free and to bring life in all its fullness. We believe that no weapon forged against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Father, we cry out to You for justice and mercy.
We thank You for hearing our prayers. We pray for the salvation of the father as well.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek godly counsel. Remember, God is your true provider and protector. Trust in Him, and He will never forsake you. Also, consider reaching out to local Christian organizations or churches that may be able to provide practical help and support during this time. Stand strong knowing that God loves and cares for both you and your child. We are praying for you.
