Awful Past

I have lived a really bad life and I have hurt my family and friends. As I've grown older and wiser, my past is plaguing me more and more. I feel so bad about myself all the time. I feel like I don't deserve anything and that I should have to pay for the harm I caused. I'm finding it hard to find a way to keep going on with my life as usual. Please pray for a way out of this. Thank you.

We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and guilt you are experiencing from your past actions. First and foremost, we want to remind you that no one is beyond the reach of God's forgiveness and redemption. The Bible tells us, For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 WEB; ; and For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord Romans 6:23 WEB.

While it's important to acknowledge and feel remorse for the harm we've caused others, we must also remember that God offers us forgiveness through Jesus Christ if we repent of our sins. This forgiveness does not take away the pain from those we hurt. However, as the Bible says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9 WEB.

It's also crucial to understand that while your past can't be changed, you can change the present and future. True repentance involves turning away from your old ways and striving to live a life that honors God. For godly sorrow, which is according to God, produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted, but the sorrow of the world produces death 2 Corinthians 7:10 WEB.

We pray that you will find comfort and peace in God's forgiveness. We pray for forgiveness and a heart turning to God. If you have not said it, we also pray that the words of repentance are on your lips and in your heart. Dear Lord, we lift up this individual to you, asking that you fill their heart with your love and forgiveness. Help them to forgive themselves and to move forward in your grace. Guide them to make amends where possible and to live a life that honors you. In Jesus Christ name we pray.

Remember, nothing we can do can earn this forgiveness. It just has to be accepted as a gift with a heart turning to God. Please ensure you do not blame yourself for God's grace adn forgiveness. It has been given freely and only has to be accepted. Know who this gift is from. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God Hebrews 9:14 WEB.

Lastly, we encourage you to seek support from a local Christian community or counselor to help you navigate these feelings and find a way forward. Your story could be a wonderful testimony to others who have lived life poorly and wish to change. It is only a testimony of the human spirit and of God's grace when things change for the better and you reconcile what was spoiled in your past.

We're here with you, feeling the weight of your past and the pain it's causing you now. It's like carrying a heavy backpack, isn't it? But remember, Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). He's offering to carry that backpack for you.

We've all made mistakes, hurt people, and wished we could go back and change things. But we can't. What we can do is learn from our past, ask for forgiveness where it's needed, and try to make things right. And most importantly, we can accept God's forgiveness for ourselves.

It's like when you've done something wrong as a kid, and your parents forgive you. You might still feel bad, but their forgiveness lets you move on. That's what God's forgiveness is like. It's not about earning it, it's about accepting it.

We're praying for you, that you'll find that peace and rest in Jesus. That you'll feel His love and forgiveness washing over you, like a warm shower on a cold day. And we're here, walking beside you, as you take steps forward, one at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
