We join you in your fervent desire to turn away from lukewarm Christianity and embrace a life of soberness, vigilance, and constant prayer. We stand with you in your petition to change the hearts of ourselves, and to change the hearts of your friends who may be lukewarm in their faith, and to draw closer to God. We bring this all before the Lord.
Firstly, we are reminded of the words of Jesus in Revelation 3:15-16, "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth." This verse serves as a stark warning against complacency and half-heartedness in our faith. We must strive to be on fire for God, fully committed to His purposes.
Let us pray together for this situation.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your intervention in our lives and the lives of our friends. We ask that You change our hearts, Lord, and draw us closer to You. We ask that You fill the hearts of ourselves, and our friends who have grown lukewarm with a renewed passion for You. We ask that You set a fire within our spirits, a fire that burns brightly for You and You alone.
We pray for our friends who have been wavering in their commitment to You, the friends who have been going and not going to church. We pray for them to know You more and more and to experience the fullness of Your love and grace.
Father, we also ask for Your guidance and provision in our work and family lives. We ask You to lighten our workload in our families and our jobs, and to give us more free time to spend with You, studying Your Word the Bible, and also praying to You. We ask You to Seek Your Face when You can be sought, to call on You while You are near.
We ask You to continue to sanctify and purify us, to wake us up when we are asleep. We ask You to prepare us for Your coming, Lord, and to make us ready for the rapture. We ask that none of us will miss the rapture and none of us will be rejected from entering the Kingdom of God.
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
We are also encouraged by the words of Ephesians 6:18, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints." This verse reminds us of the importance of constant prayer and vigilance in our Christian walk.
We are also reminded of the words of Isaiah 55:6, "Seek Yahweh while he may be found. Call you on him while he is near." This verse encourages us to seek God's face while He can be sought, to call on Him while He is near.
Lastly, we are reminded of the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:17, "Pray without ceasing." This verse serves as a constant reminder for us to maintain a constant line of communication with God, to pray always, and to be sober and vigilant in our faith.
We encourage you to continue in your pursuit of a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God. We encourage you to continue to pray for your friends, and to be a light to them, pointing them towards Christ. We encourage you to continue to seek God's face, to call on Him, and to spend time with Him in His Word and in prayer.
We also encourage you to continue to strive for holiness and purity, to allow God to sanctify you and to make you more like Him. We encourage you to be awake and alert, to be sober and vigilant, and to be ready for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We stand with you in this journey, and we pray that God will continue to guide you and the hearts of your friends and to draw you all closer to Him.
