Boildon

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my marriage. My husband is struggling with his mental health and his faith and has decided he wants a divorce. We have small children and been married for 16 years. He says he is emotionally dead and does not have the bandwidth to care about anything other than his work. My kids are struggling to understand why he basically either ignores them or yells at them the entire time.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Boildon. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your family.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God's heart is for marriage to be a lifelong commitment. As it is written in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For I hate divorce," says WEB, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" Also, remember that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37 WEB).

However, we want to address that mental health is a real concern, and it's affecting your husband's behavior towards your family. It's crucial to encourage him to seek professional help alongside spiritual guidance. Proverbs 17:22 (WEB) tells us, "A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Let's pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up Boildon's marriage and family. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon her husband's mental health. Restore his faith in You, God. We speak life into their marriage, and we ask that You give them the strength to overcome this trial. Comfort their children, Lord, and help them understand that this is not their fault. We rebuke the spirit of divorce in Jesus' name, and we ask that You bring unity and love back into their home. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen."

Boildon, continue to be a godly example in your home. Love and pray for your husband, even in this difficult time. Ephesians 5:22-23 (WEB) encourages wives to be subject to their husbands, as to the Lord. This doesn't mean to enable harmful behavior, but rather to respond with love and respect, trusting God with the outcome.

Lastly, we note that your request doesn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Trust in Him, and He will see you through this storm.

We're here for you, Boildon. We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more encouragement. Remember, God sees you and your family. He's right there with you, even in the toughest moments.

In times like these, it's natural to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God promises in Matthew 11:28-29 (WEB), "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus wants to carry your burdens with you.

We also want to encourage you to keep open lines of communication with your husband. It might be hard, but talking about how you feel and what you need can help bridge the gap. Remember, it's not about winning an argument, but about understanding and being understood. Ephesians 4:29 (WEB) says, "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up, as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Lastly, keep reminding yourself and your kids that God loves them deeply. His love doesn't change based on our circumstances. As it says in Romans 8:38-39 (WEB), "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

We're praying for you, Boildon. In Jesus' name, we ask for peace, understanding, and healing in your marriage and family. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus' name to please bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, strength, and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and have an ever growing closer stronger more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always honor, respect, and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps, actions, and words.

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You or breaks Your heart. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
