Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we can be saved. The Bible tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
We understand your concern and will pray for your son and for you as well. First, let us address the behavior and the taking of medications. It is important to note that the Bible teaches us to be sober-minded. While this is often interpreted in the context of alcohol, the principle applies to the mind.
1 Peter 5:8 says "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour," WEB.
We are also told in Romans 12:2
"Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." WEB
While this may not be easy to see with an autistic child, it is still something that should be considered. God may have allowed this to help your son avoid something harmful. We will pray for you and your son.
However, it is also important to acknowledge the biblical principle of honoring and obeying parents, as outlined in Ephesians 6:1-3:
"Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this mother and her son to You. Lord, You know the struggles they face, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Grant the mother wisdom and discernment in handling this situation, and help her son to understand the importance of taking his medication as prescribed.
Father, we also pray for Your healing touch upon this child. If it is Your will, alleviate the symptoms of autism and help him to live a life that honors You. We pray for peace and calm in their household, and for the mother to have the strength and patience to guide her son with love and understanding.
We pray that this is just a temporary challenge and that the son will resume taking his medication as needed. We ask all these things in Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in this situation and to trust in His faithfulness. Remember the words of Psalm 55:22:
"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." WEB
Stand firm in your faith, and know that God is with you every step of the way.
