We are deeply touched by your heartfelt concern for the autistic boy you babysit. It is wonderful that you are interceding on his behalf. Let us first address the elephant in the room. The request was to pray that autism be reversed. In all known medical knowledge autism is not reversible. Searching for a physical cure may be futile. However, God can perform miracles and heal in His own way. God is our only answer here. God can work everything out for the good of those who love him.
Let us pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this precious boy to You. Father, You know him by name, and You love him dearly. We ask, Lord, that You would work in his life, and help him to communicate his needs and feelings. Father, help him to know the love of Jesus and encourage his parents to teach him of the gospel of Jesus.
Father, we also pray for the grace and strength for the boy's family and everyone with caregiving responsibilities for him. Help them to love and care for him in a way that reflects Your love for us. Guide the family and caregivers to be able to teach the boy to communicate his needs and feelings, and to have wisdom to help him in every way. Please give them strength and wisdom in this challenge.
Father, we also pray for salvation in Jesus for this young man. We pray that he will come to know Christ, and to believe in Him and His resurrection. We pray that he will confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart.
Father, we ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for this boy and his family. It is so important to pray in the name of Jesus. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" When we pray in the name of Jesus, we are acknowledging that He is our Savior and the only way to God the Father. Do not forget that believing in Jesus is the only way to salvation.
The scripture teaches us that believing confession is the evidence of salvation. Romans 10:9-10 says, WEB, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."
In this situation of caring for a child with autism, it is important to remember that God can turn all things into good, as it says in Romans 8:28, WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." This does not mean that autism will be taken away, but that God can use this situation for good. This is the true Christian hope. He can give us grace and faith to be a righteous Christian example. Teach the child to love Jesus and to believe in Jesus.
As you continue to care for this boy, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:14 WEB, "But Jesus said, 'Allow the little children, and dont forbid them to come to me; for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these.'" This boy is precious in God's sight, and God has a purpose for his life.
Lastly, we must address that there is no evidence that autism can be reversed. It is important to focus on loving and caring for this boy as he is, and to trust that God has a plan for his life. Do not rely on the false promises of autism being reversed or cured, but instead put your hope in God.
