Welcome to Ethiopia, where we meet with a listener of Thru the Bible who writes:

“I am a social worker in a remote area. Each day I face many challenges and scary situations … like wild animals, flying insects that spread diseases to the human body … and perhaps worst of all, loneliness. My best friend is my radio, and I have become a regular student in your Bible studies. Thank you for showing me that even if I face various challenges, God hasn’t abandoned me.â€

We may not all struggle against insects or wild animals, but certainly we all face circumstances beyond our control.

As we pray today, let’s lay claim to God’s promise in Isaiah 41:13 that says:

“For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’â€
