Welcome to Malawi. In a region plagued by wars and violent politics, Malawi’s peaceful villages and stunning scenery make this a much sought-after tourist destination.

But don’t be fooled, Malawians face many challenges—including the AIDS epidemic that has left more than one million people infected with HIV and reduced the average life expectancy to only 43 years.

Today it’s our privilege to pray that God’s Word heard on Thru the Bible will bring hope to Malawians for today—and for eternity.

Let’s also lift up those who want to share the hope of Jesus Christ with others, like this gentleman who writes:

“I now understand all the books of the Bible and share the meaning I’ve found with those around me. You encourage us in our despair.â€

The journey continues tomorrow in South Africa.
