ATTENTION! ATTENTION!!

Acknowledge GOD through REPENTANCE


God has given me so much to impart to finish this part of my assignment that it's almost overwhelming. Yet, even as I pondered whether or not to write this slightly lengthy entry, He confirmed, through these two scriptures, that the messaging was indeed necessary, for those who yet have ears to hear.

The interesting thing about the first scripture is that it neither ratifies that which was spoken by priests nor written by the scribes, but rather ALL that was written by whom? The Prophets.

Luke 18:31 . . . and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

It doesn't matter whether or not I see you; what matters is what God sees in you, for you are always seen by Him. The things He does in the earth, and His messages of warning are to capture our attention so that we will acknowledge Him and turn our backs on our REBELLION. Therefore, we must be concerned about capturing His attention which is correctly attained through contrition. Like it or not, even as St. Peter found out after denying Jesus three times, there are times when each and every one of us must turn our backs on our REBELLION (denial of Christ in any way) and REPENT. To deny or contend with any part of God's Word is to deny God himself. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Luke 22:31-32 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to have all of you, to sift you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have REPENTED and turned to me again, strengthen and build up your brothers."

If we could all get into heaven with good deeds, there would be no need for faith or belief. We can not commit to righteousness and indulge in wickedness at the same time, so long as we do good deeds, any more than we can protect ourselves with part of God's amour: we must put on the full amour of God. To which affect, can a city not throw the messenger out onto the streets and think that as long as they are fed and clothe, the righteousness of God is somehow satisfied. That is wickedness. Yet, that's exactly where REPENTANCE takes center stage. REPENTANCE is the axis upon which forgiveness rotates. We must therefore close the circle of remission by turning our backs on REBELLION.



If someone has something against you, before asking anything of God, you must first make that thing right between you and that person(s); which, in turn garners GOD'S ATTENTION in your favor whereby He hears and answers prayers. This is especially true of a city being traversed. A little leaven, leavens the whole loaf. If one city is allowed to amend God's statutes, as she sees fit; then every city can lean to her own understanding. God neiher looks upon oppression nor the oppressor with favor. Moreover, the messenger is not responsible for the destruction of a city, that’s up to God - based on the response of the inhabitants thereof; the messenger simply delivers the message.

Romans 1:28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

Footnote: Even if this city chooses to reject the spiritual part of the scenario, as a citizen, and forty plus year resident, whose tax dollars contributed to this city, I am entitled to proper rendering from this city just like anybody else. I couldn't consider myself an effective city leader if I allowed a female, a grandmother to sleep on the streets, because of anger over God's prediction, even though the government has provided a huge influx of subsidies to cover the cost for housing. Indeed, the city of good report cannot righteously reject the spiritual part because it is the very premise upon which this nation was built. We can claim to love one another, but God knows the heart: And if a city's "love" punishes one for delivering the messages of God, to the fulfillment of scripture, as was done to Jesus, that city may need a better understanding of what love truly is.

Praise the Lord. We love Jesus so much for changing our situation, our thoughts and our desires and wanting more of Him rather than the world, the flesh and the devil.
