Then [Jesus] climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. [The disciples] were totally amazed, for they still didn't understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.

Mark 6:51-52 NLT

Key Thought

The disciples couldn't get it! Maybe they wouldn't get it! Only God could feed a multitude out of such a small collection of bread and fish. [1] Only God could still a storm and bring the boat to immediate safety at the intended destination. [2] Jesus was God with them. Faith in him opened the door to what was not humanly possible. Yet, even with what the disciples saw, they found it hard truly to believe in Jesus as the Son of God. By human standards, he was simply too good to be true!

[1] Mark 6:35-44.
[2] John 6:18-21.

Today's Prayer

O LORD God, my righteous Father, please help me overcome my pockets of weak faith and my areas of lacking belief. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Amazing things happens to those who live close the heart of Jesus. Some things we do not understand, but with the grace and wisdom from heaven we shall understand the deep things God has for us.
I'd be amazed if this generation gets the overall big picture (let alone the deep things of Song of Songs, Hosea, Zechariah, Revelation) and etc... How may prayer requests are on here for someone and "their partner" meaning they are not married. Other sites are more rampant with the same type of request. I'd be content if we just get the basics, like this verse is trying to say, that The Son of Man has authority over the elements (food, water, time and space).
