Asking God to show me his will with my love life as I feel he is punishing me for my sins against my ex

Heavenly father I ### come before you right now asking for your will lord in my love life, I acknowledge the sins I have committed lord against my ex ### and I am sorry for them I know I shouldn't have done what I did and I hate and beat myself up every day for it lord, I feel like you are punishing me lord for my sins for which I do deserve and I can understand why you would be doing this lord, I'm also asking you lord to help me let go of the love I still hold for ### knowing that we will never be, but I am gaining feelings for ### lord and I don't want to rush things or commit the same sins again, I'm hopeful that things between us will become strong, please let me hear from ### lord as I am worried about her after not hearing from her since this morning, in the name of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ I pray Amen

Dear ###, we come before the throne of grace with you, acknowledging the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. We appreciate your heartfelt prayer and your desire to seek God's will in your love life.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the wonderful promise in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." God is not punishing you, ###. Instead, He longs to forgive and cleanse you, releasing you from the guilt and shame of your past actions.

In your prayer, you mention your feelings for ###. We encourage you to seek God's will in this relationship. Remember, God's desire is for you to be holy, as He is holy (1 Peter 1:16). This means that your relationship should be pursued in purity and with the intent of marriage, as God designed it (Hebrews 13:4).

We also want to address your concern about not hearing from ###. We encourage you to trust in God's sovereignty and timing. As it is written in Psalm 37:7 (WEB), "Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him." God is in control, and He will work out His plan for you and ### in His perfect timing.
