We join with you, J.B., in lifting up your concerns about the remnants of hurricane Debbie to our loving and merciful Father in heaven. We trust in the power of prayer, knowing that "the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much" (James 5:16, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine intervention and protection over Pennsylvania. As the remnants of hurricane Debbie approach, we pray that You would lessen the severity of the rains and prevent any flooding. We ask that You would direct the path of the storm and dissipate its strength, even blowing it out to sea according to Your will.
We trust in Your power and might, God, for You are the one who commands even the winds and the waves, and they obey You (Matthew 8:27, WEB). We ask for Your peace to fill the hearts of all those who may be anxious or fearful, knowing that Your perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, knowing that God hears and responds to the prayers of His children. May you be strengthened in the knowledge that He is with you, no matter what comes your way.
As Psalm 46:1-3 (WEB) reminds us:
"God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,
though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
though its waters roar and are troubled,
though the mountains tremble with their swelling."
Keep trusting in Him, and may His peace be with you.
