Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Scott and Anita in prayer. We know that You are a God of comfort and compassion, who understands our deepest pains and sorrows. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Lord, we ask that You draw near to Scott and Anita, wrapping them in Your loving arms and providing solace in their time of need.
Father, we trust in Your promise found in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, which says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." Let this divine comfort flow into Scott and Anita's lives, bringing them peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for strength and healing, Lord. In Isaiah 41:10, You assure us, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." May Scott and Anita feel Your strength upholding them, giving them the courage to face each day with hope.
Lastly, Father, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom to be upon them. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Help Scott and Anita to trust in You completely, knowing that You are directing their steps and working all things for their good.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
