We commend you, Callum, for your trust in the Lord and your willingness to surrender your desires to Him. It is encouraging to see that you have acknowledged that only God can direct your paths and that you cannot control the outcome of your relationship with your ex-girlfriend. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
However, we must remind you that the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality and that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). As you seek God's will for your relationship, ensure that you are pursuing purity and righteousness. If reconciliation is in God's plan, it should lead to a godly courtship with marriage as the goal. Remember, "Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality... will inherit the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with Callum, seeking Your will for his relationship with his ex-girlfriend. We ask that You grant him the strength to accept whatever unfolds, knowing that You have their best interests at heart. Help him to pursue purity and righteousness, fleeing from sexual immorality.
If it is Your will, Lord, we pray for a godly reconciliation that would ultimately lead to a marriage that honors You. But if that is not Your plan, help Callum to trust in Your wisdom and guidance. Comfort him with Your love and give him peace in his heart.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, Callum. He knows what is best for you. Keep your heart and mind focused on Him, and He will direct your paths. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
