We are truly sorry to hear about the disagreement between you and your daughter-in-law, and we understand how painful it is to be separated from your grandsons. Let's bring this situation to the Lord in prayer and seek His will for your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you of what the Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB: "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
It's crucial to approach this situation with a humble heart, ready to apologize and forgive, just as God has forgiven us through Jesus Christ. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this broken relationship. We ask for Your healing and restoration. Soften the hearts of both, and help them to be willing to apologize and forgive each other, just as You have forgiven us. We ask that You would allow them to see their grandsons and restore the joy and unity within the family.
Lord, guide them both by Your Holy Spirit, and help them to walk in love, kindness, and humility. Help them to be a testimony of Your love and grace to their grandsons and to everyone around them.
We pray also that you will reveal to them your will in this matter. There must be repentance and forgiveness in both parties.
In Jesus' name, we pray for a miracle of reconciliation and restoration. We know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to walk in love and humility, and to trust in the Lord to work in this situation. Remember, God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. He is able to bring beauty from ashes and turn even the most difficult situations into blessings.
Lastly, we gently remind you that according to the Law of Moses a Son-in-Law should leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. Genesis 2:24 WEB "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." We also know that we should honor our father and mother. In no way should a disagreement with your daughter-in-law separate you from your grandsons, if this is a concern it should be addressed and prayed about through this process. If they are married, they should be living together and being a godly wife and husband to each other. We encourage you to pray for your son and daughter-in-law's marriage, that it would be strong and godly, and that they would be a testimony of God's love and grace to their children and to the world.
