ARE YOU THIRSTY FOR LIVING WATER?

“Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.†Isaiah 55:1-3

Have you gone outdoors today? How hot is it where you live? Here in South Florida we have had weather in the 90′s. It is hot! I had to water a few of our plants on the screened porch today as they were wilting from not having enough water in this hot weather.

Can you imagine all the different weather across the U.S this past month where there have been fires, tornadoes and now the flooding in the Midwest where many have no electricity? Can you imagine how many people get hot and thirsty throughout each day? Just imagine that you are one who is thirsty and I bring you a glass filled with ice and a bottle of water. As I pour the water into the glass, may I remind you of all the farmers, many different construction men, roofers, or all the men who are landscapers or lawn men cutting all the different people’s yards especially in Florida and across the United States. I can only imagine how very hot and thirsty all these people get for water throughout their day. They all would like a glass of cold water, but what they really need is to drink from the fountain of living water from our Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know the difference?

Our Lord is saying, You who are thirsty, come to the waters. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. You and I need to talk and walk with our Lord daily drinking from His living water, His spiritual water. He will quench your thirst. Let me take you to John Chapter 4 where Jesus talked to the Samaritan woman about His living water. As part of your devotions, please read the whole chapter in John 4.

When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?†(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?†(For Jews do not associate with Samaritans. Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.†“Sir,†the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?…Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.†The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.†John 4:7-11, 13-15

That Samaritan women went back to her town:

Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?†They came out of the town and made their way toward him… Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.â€â€¦ And because of his words many more became believers. John 4:28-30, 39, 41

May that be your heart’s desire for today. Ask the Lord to give you His living water. Your Lord can make a difference in your life and, as you tell others, they will accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. Most of all, pray that your husband’s/wife’s heart will be touched and transformed. Jesus’ passion every day 2000 years ago, was to bring every person that He met to have eternal life. That is our passion in this Ministry; that you personally will come to know our Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life. Then you can pray for your spouse, your children and others to meet your Savior and Lord for them to receive eternal life.

Do you know for certain today that you have eternal life? If not, stop now and go to our special web page.

He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the miraculous signs you are doing if God were not with him.†In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.†John 3:2-3

Have you ever led anyone to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their life? You will never forget the experience. Ask the Holy Spirit to prepare loved ones, friends or co-workers who need to know the Lord so you can share at just the right time that Jesus is the answer for their problems and the Lord will give you just the right words. Make up some cards or put scriptures on sticky notes and put them in a few common places in your home, so you can start memorizing a few words at a time. In fact, try memorizing a few other scriptures the same way. Click here to hide God’s word in your heart.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.†John 3:16-18

One of our main Ministry goals is for every stander to know Jesus Christ as Savior. We are praying and believing that thousands of men and women will come to know our Lord Jesus Christ by having a crisis in their marriage. Your Lord God can touch and change your heart and life completely. He will give you hope, faith and trust with a power that you have never known before. You will never be the same again!

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. Romans 15:4

Seek your Lord to follow His will and instructions for the healing of your marriage. The water that Jesus was talking about was spiritual life and the Spirit of God. Now may you drink from our Lord’s living water!

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that day you will say: “Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.†Isaiah 12:2-4

Today, pray that your husband or wife will thirst for the true living water. A powerful scripture that you can pray as a prayer for yourself and for your spouse is in Psalm 1:

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night, He is like a tree planted by steams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. Psalm 1:1-3

What a promise!
