ARE YOU STANDING FIRM?
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:57-58
Do you believe that you will have victory in your marriage being restored and resurrected from the hopelessness that it appears to you today? I remember how impossible our circumstances seemed when Bob and I were divorced. But God! The Lord had spoken to my heart in a church service and my life was changed forever! I did choose to labor in the Lord and fight for my marriage even if it was until I was 80!
That is why every weekend we must pray for all the church services that start from Friday evening through the Lord’s Day. I know the Lord uses the men of God around the world, evangelists, Bible teachers, choirs, soloists and the many other servants of God to proclaim the Gospel and God’s truths to millions of people each week regarding all areas of our lives. Just imagine that couple who spoke in two services in little Pompano Beach, Florida, many years ago who were from Nashville, Tennessee, sent to minister God’s truths about marriage and the covenant to me. Today the Lord is using me and our family to continue to proclaim it around the world! To God be the glory!
Are you standing strong with your Lord, fighting against the enemy's attacks on your home and loved ones? Are you telling the enemy that you will never give up on your spouse and other loved ones? Don't give up, but stand firm in the Lord and in the promises of God.
We Christians must be different from the world. We personally know of a risen Savior, Jesus Christ, who has paid the price for our freedom. He shed His Blood at Calvary. We can have a personal relationship with Him daily. Our Lord God is wanting us to stand up for the sanctity of marriage and the righteousness and holiness of God. Satan may be trying to come against us every day, but we must never forget that Jesus Christ defeated Satan on the cross. We just need to speak God's Word and walk in victory with Jesus Christ our Lord.
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17
Are you doing everything in love? Do you feel like you are alone? You are not! Are your circumstances overwhelming you? Cry out to your Lord. Ask the Lord to deliver you not only from evil people, but also from the evil one, Satan. You may feel your spouse does not care about anything regarding you or your children. Right now, they are being deceived and may even lie about many different things because of the enemy, Satan, the father of all lies. (John 8:44) Just remember, who you are in the Lord and who is on your side fighting for you!
Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; protect me from men of violence who plan to trip my feet...O Lord, I say to you, “You are my God.†Hear, O Lord, my cry for mercy. O Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer, who shields my head in the day of battle-do not grant the wicked their desires, O Lord; do not let their plans succeed, or they will become proud. Selah Psalm 140:4, 6-8
Allow your Lord God to be your protector and refuge in times of trouble. He has a plan and a purpose for you, your spouse and children. Jesus Christ left us the Holy Spirit, enabling us to be able to walk in love and in victory each day. Don't give up because of time or your circumstances. Stand firm in the Lord and stand in the gap for all your loved ones. Believe, have faith and trust in your Lord forever for the healing of your marriage and the salvation of your family. Spend more time on your knees, pray and speak the Word over your spouse and children. God's Word will never return void. (Isaiah 55:11) You are part of the link for them to get to Heaven to be with you by you praying and interceding for their salvations.
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Psalm 40:1-4
Do you feel you have circumstances of impossibilities? The enemy has put all these circumstances between you and the promises of God. You need to know the Word of God well enough that you do not see the enormous obstacles blocking your victory of marriage restoration, but believe, have faith, knowing your Lord God has a plan for your victory!
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word. Psalm 119:105-107
Are you facing a huge obstacle? Surrender everything to your Lord God including your future. Move out of the way, so your Lord God can take over your life. Your marriage being restored is for God to get the glory - not for you to say what you have done. God wants us to give Him the praise and have everyone know that the Lord and Savior did a miracle in your life and marriage. The Lord wants us to tell others that there is victory in Jesus Christ. Let us proclaim the Lord’s message of marriage restoration to someone else who is hurting and has no hope today!
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14
