ARE YOU ON A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY WITH THE LORD? - Part 2
God created marriage and hates divorce. Our world and churches are compromising God's standards by winking at the consequences of divorce to our families, to our children, to our loved ones, to our churches and to society. The church as a whole is not being the “Critical Care Unit†for the couples who have wounded, hurting and broken hearts, whose marriages are in trouble as the enemy, Satan, is attacking the churches around the world. Let us pray that all churches will start having a group of prayer warriors or intercessors to pray for the sick, all healthy and hurting marriages and the leaders of the church. Let us pray that the men of God will stand up and proclaim from the pulpit that the Lord can heal, restore, and rebuild hurting and dead marriages where there is adultery, pornography, alcohol, abuse, anger, controlling issues, drugs and gambling. Churches are where hearts, lives and marriages can be transformed. There is freedom in Jesus Christ.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
We need to realize that as in New York City many years ago when the disaster occurred, it destroyed many lives and shocked many people. Your separation and/or divorce will do likewise. You need to cry out to the Lord for His divine help in your marriage crisis. The Lord knows all the details on both sides. Will you trust the Lord with your whole life and marriage, seeking your Heavenly Father for His plan and purpose how to get you through this tragedy in your marriage? The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you. He is always with you 24 hours a day.
I know that you may be in the very early stages of “standing†and praying for your marriage. You first have to pray, asking the Lord to forgive you, confessing your sins and repenting, which means you are wanting to be changed inside out. The pain in your heart is unbearable. You have been rejected by the one you have given your life to, the one you love and care for; only to be rejected, abandoned, abused emotionally, verbally, and possibly physically. You may already be separated or divorced. Your spouse may still be at home, or your spouse has come back home after being gone for a season, but has not confessed and repented of their sins. Keep praying and asking the Lord to renew and transform their heart and mind.
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call.†With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.†Acts 2:38-40
“‘To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’†Acts 26:18
Only your Lord God can heal your wounded heart, regardless of your present circumstances.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Isaiah 61:1
The most powerful practice that you can do daily is read God’s Word and pray. Prayer is so powerful. (James 5:13-19) Will you intercede and stand in the gap for your spouse, lost loved ones and friends who do not know the Lord or who are living a sinful lifestyle? Pray daily that the Holy Spirit will speak to your spouse or loved ones’ hearts and that they will be obedient to the wooing of the Holy Spirit. You and I can pray that your husband or wife and all prodigals will choose to crucify their sinful nature.; that they will hate what they are doing and cry out for the Lord’s mercy and forgiveness as in Psalm 51.
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. Galatians 5:16-18
My prayer for you today is:
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith. I have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge--that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

You may have been standing for a season and are questioning, “Lord, is my spouse ever coming home?†My prayer is that you will ask the Lord to give you a closer, more powerful insight of where your spouse is today! Ask the Lord for “new manna†for yourself and regarding your spouse and marriage this week.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalm 32:8
Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea; hear me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught at the voice of the enemy...But I call to God, and the Lord saves me. Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice. Psalm 55:1-3a, 16-17
Are you ready to start or recommit to this Spiritual Journey by surrendering your ALL to the Lord? Are you ready to admit that you may have made a mess out of your life and marriage? Do you need His help to straighten it out? Do you need to admit and repent that you caused a lot of the problems in your marriage? Have you lived your life so far “your way†and now you want to know His will for you? Are you tired and weary? Have you become broken enough that you want the Lord to fix your marriage His way and only His way? Do not worry how the Lord can fix or mend your hopeless marriage. Admit you need God’s help first!
We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20
Start today by crying out to God. Do you know Him as your Lord and Savior? Will you make a commitment to the Lord to pray and fight for your beloved husband’s or wife’s salvation and deliverance forever? Now start trusting God to start moving some mountains in your marriage. (Mark 11:22-26)
