Are certain sins hereditary?

If alot of people in a certain family have a certain sickness, the doctor sometimes tells us it's hereditary because of the genes..But I wonder if that's the same with certain sins. It seems to me like that, based on a few examples.like, on my mothers side, they practically all overeat on the wrong foods, with no care that they're harming the temple, the body.And by the hundredth time they see the bad food placed in front of them, they have the same near orgasmic reaction to it as is they've never seen it before.{Gluttony}{Also, a weakness of the flesh.}Also, they're mostly all into the occult,believe in it, go to psychics, etc.Now on my fathers side, not so much with those sins.Coincidence,or do certain sins run more in certain families?INot convincing enough, here's another example.I knew this family who, just about every one of them was into the occult,seeing mediums,etc.Praising it, getting artifacts of the occult.They held séances, the whole thing.{They also all died from the same illness, leukemia,which I suspect was a judgement on them}Now, why the whole family? You also see whole families who take drugs, families where they all smoke. If sin isn't hereditary, then why do certain whole families have one certain sin, yet another family isn't affected by that particular sin?We hear in the Bible of generational curses, why not generational sin?What do you think?

I think it is a combination of heredity sin as well as environmental learning behaviors. I think it depends on the type of sin being displayed. This is just my opinion of course.




I think the glutton one could be a possible heredity sin that runs in family. I have picked up on the fact that when families have someone who is obsessed and an over eater the whole family is the same way. For ex: My daughter is over weight. She wasn't always that way. She overeats, she drinks sodas like they are going out of style. We have been on here night and day to get her to quit drinking sodas and to eat more healthier- she does when I cook but I am not always around to feed her. My side of the family are not overweight or over eaters. But her father side- that's a different story. Her father is lazy and doesn't like to work , he is over weight, and he is an atheist. His mother- the grandmother is overweight, lazy, and she is into Wicca and teaches Wicca stuff and spells,etc. I have more examples of neighbors and other people and they fall under that same category. I do think you are unto something with that as a heredity sin.









I think the environmental learning and sin is as kids grow up they learn how to sin from their parents by watching them. My next door neighbors are racist.They dont like any race except white people. They are 2 sisters from California. One of the sisters has adopted 3 kids while in California who are Hispanic. She told me that even though they are Hispanic- they were raised white and they all know they aren't really Hispanic. They chased their neighbor that lived on the other side of them away because they were Hispanic. These people were the nicest people and kept to themselves by my next door neighbor kept turning them in and the neighbor son, who is special needs threw eggs are their house and cars, and yet they didn't do anything about it. They ended up moving out and sold their own to get away from them. Fast fast forwards- 6 months ago one of the next sisters- the adopted mother- got real sick, was in a coma for 2 weeks, had multiple surgeries because of infections in her chest area, and then was in rehab center. She came home this past Monday and has lost a lot of weight and uses a walker.God judgement?

You post this same type of questions over and over again buddy. Are you not satisfied that we all sin every single day and that we all sinned in the loins of Adam right along with him? Did not Christ say that your Father's killed the prophets and now you want to kill me? Does not the Word of God say that God will visit the sins of us unto the 3rd and 4th generations?

Why not rather pray for the sinners than tell us about their specific sins Steven?

Are you a blessed son unto your mother as unto Jesus? I haven't ever once seen you post a prayer for her like; oh Lord Jesus open my mother's eyes to see You, to know You and convict her to follow You and lead her away from darkness in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus for Steven! Lord teach Steven to follow your instructions, teach Steven to count it all as joy and teach Steven to stop thinking about his life all in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!
