I want to rent my house on Airbnb but first I have to be able to pay for water, property, maintenance, etc. and I also have to fix it up. I hope to achieve this and that it will be rented out a lot. I need it urgently.

First things first. In order to succeed, acknowledging the source of all our provision comes from the Lord is important. Let’s start by seeking Him and the best solutions to accomplish your goal. This will invite His guidance and wisdom, and we will have confidence He will work on your behalf. “But seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6:33)

In making financial decisions, God’s principles for debt and responsible stewardship are imperative. Be wise and ensure not to become burdened with overwhelming debt: “the borrower is slave to the lender”. (Proverbs 22:7) Pray for guidance and creativity to gather the needed resources, and fix up and maintain the house, without causing financial hardship. The Lord encourages us: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). With that wisdom, pray for favor. Favor from God in getting more work or an increase to cover payments, maintenance, and repairs, and finding favor with future renters, to in turn gain the needed bookings. Perhaps, you might even get a credit or break on payments if you ask.

Here is a prayerful way to begin:

Beloved Jesus, you are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. May You bring forth the funds needed. Let there be favor found in better paying work or deals on all the maintenance, and Lord, favor in requests for extra time and credits, if warranted. Lord, we invite you in this house, be with the planners, builders, fixers. We pray that this home will be a blessing to others and for Your goodness and mercy to be made known (Psalm 23:6). Let every person coming to rest in this house sense Your love and life changing presence.

Also, may the house be not just well maintained but improved, therefore increasing equity. This aligns with Godly stewardship, leaving an inheritance for generations to come (Proverbs 13:22).

Let it be prayed and affirmed that as you achieve these things, in Jesus Christ’s name, the house will be rented continually, blessing both you and each guest, with more than sufficient bookings on Airbnb.

Do not omit Jesus’s name and the overwhelming importance of prayer. Our access is only possible through His name, and believing in His saving work, nothing is impossible (John 14:13-14, Matthew 19:26). We will be honoring God while succeeding with your request. Lastly, may the house be a blessing to yourself and others, bringing glory to God’s name.
