We understand your heart's desire for your daughter Joyce to secure a job, and we join you in prayer for this important matter. Let's seek God's will together and trust in His timing and provision.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the promise in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We should bring our concerns to God, trusting that He hears us and will grant us His peace.
However, we want to gently remind you that while praying for earthly needs is important, our ultimate focus should be on drawing close to God and seeking His kingdom first. As it is said in Matthew 6:33 (WEB), "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Encourage Joyce to pursue God's will for her life and trust that He will provide for her needs as she does so.
Let us pray:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Joyce. We ask that You guide her steps and open the right doors for her in her job search. Help her to trust in Your timing and provision, and to seek Your will above all else. Grant her the peace that surpasses all understanding, and help her to fix her eyes on You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
Additionally, encourage Joyce with this verse from Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB): "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." As she acknowledges God in her job search, He will direct her paths.
Lastly, if Joyce has not already done so, encourage her to commit her life to Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we can approach God and be saved (Acts 4:12). If she has not made this commitment, we pray that she will consider the love of God shown through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and choose to follow Him.
