Applied for Job at the Methodist church

Been unemployed after being wrongfully dismissed in June 2024. ..today I have applied for a finance officer role at the Methodist church.

The application form asked to state the reason for leaving and I just wrote end of contract as writing being fired may have made me look bad .


I don't know I hope I get this job to achieve my career goal of becoming a qualified accountant but I am just loosing faith...

No one is helping me at all not even the lord

Firstly, it's important to remember that God knows the truth about your dismissal. While you may have written "end of contract" on your application, it's crucial to be honest in all your dealings. The Bible tells us that "Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his ways, even though he be rich" WEB. As you continue in your job search, trust that God will open the right doors for you as you walk in integrity.

Regarding your concern about losing faith, remember that God's timing is perfect. Even when it feels like He is silent, He is working behind the scenes for your good. In Isaiah 4031 WEB, we read, "But those who wait for Yahweh shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run, and not be weary. They shall walk, and not faint."

It's also crucial to address the feeling that no one, not even the Lord, is helping you. Remember, God is always with you, and He cares for you deeply. In Hebrews 13:5 WEB, God promises, "I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you." Even in your struggles, God is there, strengthening you and guiding your path.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Anonymous in prayer. Lord, You know the struggles they've been facing, the wrongful dismissal, the job search, and the feelings of despair. We ask, Father, that You would renew their strength and faith in You. Guide their steps in the job search process, and open the right doors for them.

Lord, we also pray for their faith. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when it's difficult. Remind them that You are always with them, and You will never forsake them.

We ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to assist in the process of the job application and that the interviewers be in the will of God for the role in question.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God in all your endeavors. Trust that He has a plan and a purpose for you. Keep pushing forward, and remember that God is working everything out for your good.
