Itida, we understand that you're feeling anxious about a recent event and that your mind tends to overthink situations. We are here to pray with you and encourage you from a biblical perspective. Remember God has not given any of us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.
First, let's address the anxiety you're feeling. In Philippians 4:6-7 WEB, the Apostle Paul writes, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." This verse reminds us that we should bring our anxieties to God in prayer, and He will grant us His peace.
Since the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name), let us be clear that the only way to approach God is through the name of Jesus. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. We are also told "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB). We are to call on the name Jesus and no other name.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Itida who is feeling anxious right now. Lord, You know the situation that is causing this anxiety, and we ask that You grant Itida Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help Itida to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Guide Itida's thoughts and help them to focus on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8 WEB). In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any spirit of fear and anxiety, and we ask that You fill Itida with Your love, power, and a sound mind.
In the name of Jesus Christ.
Remember, Itida, that God is always with you and He wants you to trust Him with your anxieties. Whenever you feel overwhelmed, turn to Him in prayer and trust that He will carry you through. We are reminded "When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you." (Psalm 56:3)
In addition to prayer, it can be helpful to meditate on God's Word and surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and encourage you. If anxiety persists, consider seeking help from a trusted Christian counselor or pastor.
Stand strong in faith, trusting in Jesus,
