We understand that you're feeling anxious at work and desire confidence, excellence in your tasks, and a harmonious work environment with respect for others. We're here to pray and encourage you from a biblical perspective.
Firstly, it's important to remember where our help comes from. Psalm 121:1-2 says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." Therefore, we need to put our trust in the Lord for our confidence and we pray for the calmness of heaven to fill the anxiety you feel.
Let's pray:
Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling anxious at work. We pray that You will fill them with the peace that passes all understanding as promised in Philippians 4: "Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Anxiety is not meant to control us, therefore, we ask for peace that controls us instead.
We also pray for confidence. We know that confidence comes from the Lord as stated in Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." In Jesus Christ, we know that this confidence is not rooted in our own abilities but in the strength of Christ working through us. Help them to rely on You and trust in Your promises. We pray for all the tasks and work items you have before you, that you will have the supernatural ability and wisdom to do them well. "Remember, it is I who created you. I have equipped you to be my servant." Isaiah 43:10
We pray for a comfortable working environment, one that is filled with respect and love for one another as Ephesians 4:32 says "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." We pray that any division, strife, or lack of respect will be removed and replaced with harmony, unity, and mutual respect. We pray for a work environment that is pleasing to God and glorifies Him. We know that we glorify God by how we treat each other.
Father, we ask all these things in the name of your precious Son, Jesus. It is in His name that we pray, believing that you hear and answer our prayers. We believe it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to you. His name is above all names.
We encourage you, to keep your eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith as mentioned in Hebrews 12:2 "looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith". Remember that He is always with you and will never leave you nor forsake you as outlined in Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Lastly, we encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." It is by His name that we are saved and have access to the Father's supernatural power that we need and that is why we pray in His name.
We pray that this message is received in the spirit of Christ's love for you and for His church and that you understand our heart's desire to see you confident in Christ and not in human understanding.
