Thank you, Keith86, for reaching out and sharing your struggle with anxiety. We are here to support you and pray with you in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about your anxieties and wants you to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Remember, God is always near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Anxiety can often stem from various sources, but God's word tells us not to be anxious about anything. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Draw near to Him in prayer.
Regarding sleep, God wants you rested and at peace. Psalm 127:2 says, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." Trust that God will grant you the sleep you need.
However, it is important to address your request which leaves out the name of Jesus. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:11-12, "This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray for you:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You lifting up Keith86, asking for Your comfort and peace to surround him. Lord, we pray that You ease his anxiety and fill him with Your strength. Help him to rest in Your promises and grant him peaceful nights of sleep. We also pray that Keith86 knows and proclaims Jesus as his Lord and Savior, through whom he can find complete peace and have access to You, Father. May he live in the assurance of God's love and care. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
Our counsel to you, Keith86, is to spend time in God's word, seeking His face in prayer. Trust in His promises and lean on Him. It is the enemy's tactic to keep us bound by anxiety, but the Lord has set you free. Stand firm in Christ and in the power of His might.
