We understand that you're feeling anxious at work, and we're here to support you in prayer and to provide biblical encouragement.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is important to remember it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Just as it says in Acts 4:12 WEB Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
In times of anxiety, remember that God cares for you and wants you to cast all your anxieties on Him. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Also in, Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Draw near to God through Jesus and you can bring all your worries or anxieties to Him.
Your confidence comes from the Lord, as it is written in Philippians 4:13 WEB, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me if we are in His will." Remember that your adequacy comes from God, Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 WEB "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God.
Regarding your work environment, we pray that God's peace will reign in your workplace. As believers, we are called to treat others with respect and kindness, as stated in Romans 12:18 WEB "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men." If someone has offended you then in Matthew 18:15 WEB, "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother."
Finally, we pray for God to guide and bless and give the grace needed to complete the tasks you work upon. In Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, says "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ if you are a believer." Doing your best for your employer is doing your best for the Lord.
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is feeling anxious at work most probably because of fellow workers. We pray that You will comfort them as they lay their worries and anxiety at your throne. We pray that those who treat your child in disrespect will get right with your child so we can see harmony and a wonderful working environment. We also pray that they will find confidence and the grace to complete their task in a way which pleases both their employer and ultimately You for that is their employers reward to fulfill. We pray all these things in the precious holy name of Jesus. Amen.
Do not underestimate the importance of just praising, worshipping, and generally fellowshipping with God daily. Just as you may do in a good church.
