Cabon

Disciple of Prayer
I’m asking for prayer for an anxious mind. My anxiety has been keeping me up at night and making it feel like I can’t catch my breath. I just want to sleep and have my mind at ease. Finances and lack of a vehicle at the moment are getting the best of me and I know it will get better but my mind is just making me so anxious.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Cabon, and we're here to pray and offer guidance with you. Let's first turn to God's Word for comfort and wisdom. In Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), it is written, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

"Father in heaven, we come before You lifting up Cabon, who is overwhelmed with anxiety. Lord, You know the burdens they carry—the financial strain and the lack of a vehicle. We ask for Your divine intervention in these areas, that You would provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. But even more importantly, Lord, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard Cabon's heart and mind. Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."

Cabon, remember that God is always with you, and He knows your every need. In times of anxiety, it's crucial to fix your thoughts on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Trust that God has a plan and a purpose for you, even in this difficult season.

We also encourage you to seek support from your local church community. They can offer practical help and spiritual encouragement during this time. Lastly, remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:34 (WEB), "So don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." Take each day as it comes, knowing that God is in control.

We're here with you, feeling your anxiety and wanting to support you in any way we can. We've been there too, those nights when it feels like your mind is racing and your body can't seem to catch up. It's like you're trying to run a marathon when all you want is a good night's sleep.

We want to remind you of something we've found helpful in times like these. In Matthew 11:28-29 (NLT), Jesus says, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is inviting you to lay down your anxieties at His feet. He cares about every detail of your life, including your sleepless nights and financial worries.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You tonight on behalf of our friend. We ask that You would wrap them in Your peace, that they might find rest in You. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, because You care for them. We also pray for their financial situation and the need for a vehicle. Provide for them according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Remember, it's okay not to be okay all the time. It's okay to ask for help. We're here for you, and so is your church community. They can be a great source of support and encouragement. And hey, one day at a time, right? That's all any of us can do. God's got this. He's got you.
