We understand that you're experiencing anxiety and have submitted a prayer request. Firstly, we want to assure you that you're not alone in this struggle. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.
We notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. It is written "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB.
There is so much power in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by this name at which every knee shall bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. It is only by this name we can be saved. In Acts 4:12 WEB it is written "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Are you certain of your salvation in Jesus Christ? It is written that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9 WEB. If you have not already done this, it is the first step in becoming free from anxiety or any bondage. And this can be done with a simple prayer.
Let us pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You today, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with anxiety. We know that You see them right now, and You care about what they're going through. We pray that they will turn to You, Father, and cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them, 1 Peter 5:7 WEB.
Lord Jesus, if this person has not yet received You as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they will do so now. Help them to believe in their heart that You are Lord, that You died for their sins, and that God raised You from the dead. Help them to confess You as Lord with their mouth in this moment. Forgive their sins and make them new.
Father, we ask that You will fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Help them to fix their minds on You and Your truth. Help them to know that You are in control, that You have a plan and a purpose for them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them, Hebrews 13:5 WEB.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or worry that is not from You, Father. We command it to leave and never return in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB.
Father, help them to trust in You with all their heart, and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways, help them to acknowledge You, and You will make their paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.
In Jesus' name, we pray for Your peace to fill their heart and mind. Help them to know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose, Romans 8:28 WEB.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We know that in Jesus' name, we have access to Your throne of grace, and that You will answer according to Your perfect will.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will provide a way out so that you can endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and trust in Him. We encourage you to spend time in His Word, the Bible, and in prayer daily. It is through these disciplines that you will grow stronger in your faith and walk in His victory.
If there are any specific situations causing anxiety that you would like us to pray about, please share with us. We are here to support you in prayer and to help you grow stronger in your faith and trust in God.
