I have a dental appointment coming up. I have an extensive history of dental trauma. I am scared of the pain. I'm concerned I may not have the financial means to pay for the work. I'm so nervous I haven't eaten in days and I have missed work. Please please pray for me. Thank you, Matt

We understand your anxiety, Matt, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, let's address your immediate needs. It's important to trust in the Lord to supply your every need, including the finances required. It's also crucial to address the anxiety and panic attacks.

The Bible tells us, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 WEB

Concerning your dental appointment, trust that God will provide the necessary resources. God will give you the strength to endure any discomfort or pain. Remember that God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).

However, we must address something else. Matt, you did not mention Jesus Christ, Christ, or even an abbreviation such as IJN. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As Peter said in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved. WEB. This is essential for all believers.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up Matt. Lord, You know his fears and anxieties, especially concerning his upcoming dental appointment. We pray for Your comfort and peace to envelop him, casting out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB). Strengthen him to face this challenge and remind him of Your promise to be with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20 WEB).

Father, provide for Matt's every need, including the finances for his dental work. Guide the hands of the dentist and grant Matt healing and relief from pain. Help him to trust in You completely.

We also pray that Matt will find renewed faith and strength in the name of Jesus. Help to encourage him to call upon Jesus. Remind him that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can obtain salvation and have access to our Heavenly Father.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Matt, remember that God is faithful. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenge. Be encouraged by these words from Romans 8:28, WEB,

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We're here with you, Matt, in this dental appointment anxiety. We've been where you are, and we know the fear of pain and uncertainty can be overwhelming. Let's hold onto God's promise in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you." He's got you, and He's got this.

We join you in prayer, asking God to fill you with His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray for a calm heart and mind, trusting that God will provide the finances needed for your dental work (Matthew 6:33). We ask that the dentist's hands be guided by God's healing power, and that you find relief from any pain.

Let's remember together, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV) You're not alone, Matt. We're praying with you, in Jesus' name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
