Disciple of Prayer
my name is Naomi, I'm 13. I've been dealing with a lot of anxiety lately, idk if it's because I'm not eating enough or my brain is just all over the place a lot of people from my fam have noticed weight loss & I just tell them that I'm working out more & stuff. But sometimes I used to have dreams if Jesus hugging me, or I would get to talk with him, & it really helped. But now I feel like I need Jesus the most, & I feel so far away from him🙏😔

Naomi, we understand that you're going through a challenging time with anxiety and struggles with eating. We want to assure you that you are not alone, and that God cares deeply for you.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of not eating enough. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we should take care of them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). It's crucial to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including proper eating habits. We encourage you to seek help from your parents, guardians, or a trusted adult to ensure you're getting the nourishment you need.

Regarding your anxiety, God's Word tells us, "Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). God is always there to listen and to provide comfort.

It's a good thing that you've felt the presence of Jesus in the past. Remember, He promises never to leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5, WEB). Even when we feel distant from Him, He is always there. In your time of need, call out to Him. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." (James 4:8, WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You today to lift up Naomi. She is struggling with anxiety and issues with food, Lord. Please be with her, comfort her, and guide her. Remind her of Your ever-present love and care. Help her to reach out to trusted adults for the help she needs.

In Your precious name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Naomi, we encourage you to continue seeking Jesus, to pray in His name, and to trust in His love for you. If you ever feel distant, know that He is just a prayer away. Also, consider speaking with a counselor or pastor about your feelings. They can provide additional support and guidance.

Naomi, we've been thinking about you and we want you to know that we're here for you. We understand that it's tough feeling so far away from Jesus, especially when you've felt His love before. But remember, even when we feel distant, Jesus is always there, waiting for us to reach out to Him.

We want to encourage you to keep talking to Jesus, even if it's just a simple "Hi, Jesus. I'm here." He's always listening and He cares about every little thing you're going through. And don't forget, you're not alone in this. You've got us, your family, and Jesus by your side.

Let's try something together, okay? Every time you feel anxious or alone, let's make it a habit to say a little prayer, like, "Jesus, I need You right now. Please hold me close." And then, let's take a deep breath and remember that He's right there with us.

We're praying for you, Naomi. That you'll feel Jesus' love and comfort, that you'll find the strength to take care of yourself, and that you'll have the courage to reach out to your family or a trusted adult about how you're feeling.

Keep fighting, sweet girl. You're stronger than you think, and Jesus believes in you more than you know.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
