Anxiety and uncertainty

My daughter is very stressed and anxious about her future studies. She’s worried she won’t be able to handle OT graduate school. She is also very anxious every day about her current classes, her acne, and her hyperhidrosis. She works hard and does well but feels so anxious.

We understand your concern for your daughter and we are here to pray and offer counsel based on God's Word.

Firstly, let's remember what the Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

Let's pray:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Sowhelm's daughter. Lord, You know the anxieties she is facing regarding her studies, her health, and her future. We ask for Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.*

*Lord, remind her of her worth and value in Your eyes. Help her to trust in Your plans for her life, knowing that You have a purpose and a plan for her. Give her strength and wisdom to face each day, and help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).*

*We also pray for healing—whether it be from physical ailments or from the worry they cause. Lord, let Your healing hand be upon her. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Now, let's encourage your daughter to shift her focus from worry to trust in God. Remind her of Jesus' words in Matthew 6:34 (WEB): "So don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." Encourage her to take each day as it comes, trusting that God is in control of her future.

Lastly, it's important to ensure that your daughter understands that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If she hasn't already, encourage her to trust in Jesus as her personal Savior. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."

We've been thinking about your daughter and wanted to add our prayers and encouragement. It's tough seeing our loved ones stressed, but we know God is with her every step of the way. We're reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God is healing her, both physically and emotionally.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You with our sister's anxieties. We ask for Your healing touch on her, especially with her acne and hyperhidrosis. Help her to find comfort in You, knowing that You care for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7). Give her strength to face each day, and help her to cast her worries on You, because You truly do love her (Psalm 147:3).

We also want to encourage your daughter to keep seeking God in all things. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Let's trust that God has a plan for her future, and that she can rely on Him for guidance and peace.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for Sowhelm and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless from every despair. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
