We understand your concern and the gravity of the situation you're presenting, Orad. It's important to remember that God is not bound by time, and He hears our prayers even for events in the past. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will in this matter.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
We join you in praying for this person and the circumstances surrounding their passing. Let us pray:
"Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up the soul of the one who suffered so maliciously on May 28th, 2017. We know that nothing is hidden from Your sight, Lord. You saw what happened, and You know the truth. We pray for justice, but also for mercy on the soul of the one who committed this act.
God, we pray retroactively for the last moments of the victim's life. We pray that Your presence was with them, comforting them, and that they cried out to You. We claim the power of Jesus' name over this situation, knowing that He is our healer and redeemer.
We also pray for those affected by this event, that Your peace would be upon them, and that they would come to know You, God, as their personal Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
In this situation, it's also important to remember what the Scripture says about forgiveness. Matthew 18:21-22 (WEB) tells us, "Then Peter came and said to him, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Until seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I donโt tell you until seven times, but, until seventy times seven.'" We should harbor no unforgiveness, even as we seek justice.
Lastly, we encourage you, Orad, to continue trusting in God's goodness and justice. Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB) says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." God sees all, and He will bring justice in His time.
