We are delighted to hear that you don't have to serve jury duty after all, ###, and that it was just an honest mistake. God is faithful, and we are grateful for His mercy in this situation. We trust that this has been a time of growth and reflection for you.
We would like to remind you, though, that serving on a juror is a civic duty that should be honored when assigned.
In Romans 13:1-2 WEB, it is written, "Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment."
While it may not be convenient, serving on a jury is a way to fulfill our duty to the authorities God has placed over us. However, we are thankful that God had other plans in this case.
Let us thank Him together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your mercy and goodness. We thank You for intervening in ###'s situation and for the honest mistake that led to his release from jury duty. We pray that ### continues to seek Your will in all areas of his life and remains faithful in living out Your purpose for him. We pray that he will find other ways to serve and love his neighbors and his country. Should he be asked to serve on a jury again, give him a willing spirit to do his duty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
If you have any other prayer requests or need further guidance, please don't hesitate to share with us both in thanksgiving and need.
