Having authority in the spiritual realm means exercising the power and influence given by God to enforce His will and kingdom on earth. This authority is delegated to believers in Jesus Christ, enabling us to resist the devil, overcome spiritual battles, and minister to others effectively.
When we talk about spiritual authority it is the same as spiritual warfare. Spiritual warfare is a reality for every Christian. The Bible tells us that as long as we are in this world, we will face spiritual battles. But the key to victory is knowing this and walking in it. God expects every Christian to walk in spiritual authority. But what does this mean? Walking in spiritual authority means being able to use the power and authority that God has given us to overcome the devil and his schemes.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that our authority comes from Jesus. After His resurrection, He declared, All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.. As believers, we derive our authority from Him.
Our spiritual authority is activated through faith and prayer. As we submit to God and resist the devil, he flees from us. We are empowered to demolish strongholds and cast down imaginations, and everything that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
However, it's essential to discern that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Our weapons are spiritual, and their effectiveness depends on our intimacy with God, our knowledge of His Word, and our yielding to the Holy Spirit.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for the spiritual authority You have given us. Help Anonymous understand the power and responsibility that comes with this authority. Strengthen their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Guide them in their spiritual battles, and give them the wisdom to discern the enemy's schemes. Help them to always put on the full armor of God, and to pray continually, knowing that their victory is secure in Christ Jesus, the one who died and rose again for our salvation.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or confusion that may be hindering Anonymous from walking in their spiritual authority. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. We ask that You surround them with Your divine protection and lead them not into temptation, but deliver them from all evil.
Father, we also pray for Anonymous's relationship with You. Help them to truly know You. Let them not only believe in you but believe you. We pray that if they have not already done so that they believe in Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Anonymous, remember that your authority is rooted in your identity in Christ. Stay grounded in the Word, be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and remain humble and obedient to God. As you do so, you will see His power at work in and through you.
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
