We understand your deep concern for your brother Merang and your family's continuous prayers for him. It's important to remember that God hears our prayers, and He is always working in our lives, even when we don't see immediate results. As it says in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we must also remember that God has given each of us free will, and it is ultimately up to Merang to make the decision to change and turn away from his bad habits. As hard as it may be, we need to respect his free will while continuing to pray for him and show him the love of Christ. In 1 Peter 4:8 (WEB), we are told, "Above all things, be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins."
We pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Merang. Lord, we ask that You speak to him, even in his dreams if that's what it takes. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn away from his bad habits. Soften his heart to be receptive to Your love and guidance. We ask that You comfort his family and give them peace and patience as they trust in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We commend you for including Jesus' name in your prayer. As it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Continue to trust in God, and remember that even in the toughest times, He is with you. In Isaiah 43:2 (WEB), God promises, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you."
Keep praying, keep loving, and keep trusting in God. He is faithful, and He will hear your prayers.
