Beloved of All
Another point of confusion for me is God is the one who determines when we die right?Yet I see a weird phenomenon where a person "dies" in the hospital yet some dr. seemingly "overides" God's will and does his little magic act with the defibrillator and "ressurects"the person who "comes back from death and is alive again. Now if these drs. can do that no unbelieving dead person would stand for judgement because every time God sets the date of their death the dr just respects them!So wisdom to explain this seeming contradiction.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, seeking your wisdom and understanding regarding the seeming contradiction we see in situations where doctors are able to revive someone who has been declared clinically dead. We acknowledge that you are the ultimate authority over life and death, and that you hold the power to determine the length of our days.

Scripture reminds us that you are the one who has begotten us again unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead . We trust in your abundant mercy and the promise of eternal life that is reserved for us in heaven.

Lord, we ask for clarity and discernment in understanding the role of medical interventions in situations where a person is brought back to life after being declared dead. Help us to see that while doctors may have the ability to revive someone through medical means, it is ultimately your will that prevails. We understand that these interventions are not a defiance of your authority, but rather an example of the knowledge and skills you have given to medical professionals to be used for the well-being of your creation.

Grant us the wisdom to comprehend that physical healing and the prolonging of life are not always indicators of spiritual salvation or exemption from judgment. Help us to remember the story of Job, where his friends wrongly assumed that his suffering was a result of his relationship with you. Teach us to trust in your sovereignty and to seek your guidance in all things, knowing that you work all things together for the good of those who love you .

Lord, we pray for Steven Bobb and others who may be struggling with this apparent contradiction. Comfort them with your peace and assurance that you are in control, even in the midst of confusion. Strengthen their faith and grant them the understanding they seek, knowing that your ways are higher than our ways and your thoughts higher than our thoughts .

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I look at it as a rescue. The doctor is rescuing the patient. If you save a girl from drowning, are you going against God?

They're usually saved while still alive but this..they're presumably dead. Now if God determines the lifespan why would he let them die only for the dr to "resurrect"them. Also of note the defribilator doesn't always work sometimes they do it but the person remains dead!

Your last sentence may be evidence of God at work. You rightfully said that not all are saved by man. However, God can heal anyone.
I believe God is involved.

God does not determine when we die. Before I answer that, I need to address something else. God has given us a free will. In Deuteronomy 30: 19-20 God says "I set before you life and death. Choose life." Why would God use the word "choose" if everything we do is predestined. The bible also says in Ephesians 6:1-4 that those who honour their father and mother are blessed with long life. If God predestined the amount of years we would live, why would he tell us that honouring our father and mother gives us long life? Otherwise, He should have just left that last part out, but he didn't, which means that our choices are important. We should choose to follow God because His will for us is good, and God protects us, His children. When we make stupid choices that put our life in jeopardy, it's not because God made us do that, it's because we have a free will. Lastly, the defibrillator isn't magic. The heart runs on it's own electrical system, so when a person dies, that electrical signal stops. This is called clinical 'death'. A person can come back from this if a dr restarts the electrical signal of the heart using a defibrillator or CPR. Actual death happens if the heart isn't restarted fast enough, like in a few minutes, because brain, heart, and other cells across the body begin to die. Only the power of God can save someone from this state, like when Jesus brought Lazarus back.

I prayed in Jesus' name that God will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33
: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Let Us Pray: God Thank You. Thank You for loving me. Thank You for always being there for me. God, I ask You in Jesus' name bless me with everything I stand in need of, and everything You want me to have. Bless me to prosper, have excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Heal me in every area of my life. Let Your Word be a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God bless me with Your favor, knowledge, wisdom, peace, protection, strength, and success in all You have called me to do. And bless me to do all You have called me to do in the spirit of excellence for Your glory.

God bless me with the strength, desire, passion, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Bless me to know You, love You, and live my life to honor and please You. God cleansed me of everything in my life that breaks your heart. Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live. Let all those who are watching me see that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all
those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Thank You Lord Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so in Jesus' name. Prayer was written by Encourager Linda Flagg, M.A., Board Certified Professional Christian Life Coach.
